I have some HD Mobile Racks. They are plastic, and I want to know whether I should buy aluminum ones. I want to determine the temperature of the drive. I am thinking I've seen plastic sticker thermometers somewhere before. The stickers change color / color moves along the sticker as the heats goes up... Maybe accurate within 5 degrees F.

Thanks for the link; I checked it out.

After thinking about it for a little while, I decided to try a basic (human thermometer). I hope it doesn't shatter.

I just layed it on the drive, placed some tin foil over the top of it, and taped the edges of the tin foil down.

After 15 minutes I looked at it out of curiousity, 102 degrees F.

However the drive felt cool compared to after I let it run for hours. So, I put the thermometer back. I'll check it later.
