Hello all,
I pulled out my PSU because I'm pretty sure that it's the reason why my computer will not turn on.
The problem: (in case you know something I don't) One morning my computer showed absolutely no sign of life. To put it in car terms. The ignition wouldn't even turn on let alone the engine turning over. The only thing that would happen when I pressed the power button was that I heard a slight click as if it was about to start and then IMMEDIATELY nothing. Nada. no fans, no heatsinks, no lights, no display, nothing.
So this problem has led me to believe that it must be the PSU since nothing is powering on or even trying to power on.
The question: How do i see if my PSU actually works without plugging it into my existing rig? Is there some sort of industry trick?
Cliff notes: PSU might be broken, how do I test?
