How to test a power supply?

I just received the ppp303x power supply and the 7237 case I had ordered. Is there a way to test the power supply? There is no power button on it..

You could test the power connectors with a digital multimeter for voltage, pin by pin.
The simplest and most accurate way to test the power supply is to use a system board + video card + a monitor. If it boots up then the power supply is ok. You don't have to mount the board in the case to do this. Most of the newer system boards will show the power supply voltages in the bios setting.

If you simply want to test whether it turns on or not, I believe you can simply short the blue green wire on the ATX mainboard connector with any of the black ground leads. You may have to have a small resistor to do this, straight shorting may not work.
