hi!
i've searched a lot using google but didn't manage to find anything useful (maybe i was entering wrong queries... :) )
i'm using win xp, sb live 5.1, creative speaker setup, for a long time anything was working perfectly. recenty i was doing some upgrade to my machine and then i noticed that while watching movies, my speakers produce something different than before. i can not precisely describe it, it is just a feeling.. you know, you've been watching THIS movie a milion times before, but this time it just sounds different :)
well, let's get to the point: is there something like sample 5.1 audio (or video with audio) which can be used to test my setup? testing with creative tools gives me nothing, 'cause there are separate wave files played individually on each channel, but when i watch movie, something is wrong and it doesn't seem to be true 5.1, but as a doubled stereo (front pair plays the same as rear). i think about some test 5.1 audio file, which has all channels mixed together to one file, and it plays something like this: "front left" on front left speaker, "rear right" on rear right speaker, "center" on center" and so on.. can anybody help please?

thank in advance

post scriptum: please do not blame me if i've choosen wrong subforum, i checked them all and this one looks to be most accurate for such type of question :)

Its about 2MB.
Its on my hdd as 6 channel audio test, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called when I dl it.

thank you very much! that file you send me was exactly what i was asking for - my speakers were playing random channels and sometimes erm.. i dont't know how to describe it.. well, the sound was mixed and played through random speakers, i mean for example channels front left, rear left and center were mixed to one stream and this stream was played through front left, center and rear left speakers. it was quite weird behavior for me, 'cause only in movies, even pure dvd.. well, i've reinstalled soundcard drivers, video codecs and playback software and now everything works perfectly. stupid thing, but annoying...
BIG THANKS BUDDY, PLEASE ACCEPT THIS VIRTUAL BEER FOR THIS: {[=] :)
