HOW TO TELL ???????????

I had the fan problem and burning smell in my new Dell 8200 (2gig) and had to be sent back.
I want to buy P4 that uses 0.13 micron process resulting in a cooler machine.
How can I tell which P4 is built using 0.13 micron process?
I did not get any clarification when I asked Dell. why does dell not include this on the processor info?
Anyone know how to
distinguish the current Dell P4 (0.18 micron) and the upcoming Dell P4 (0.13 micron) ?

Currently you cannot purchase the 0.13 micron Pentium 4 processor because it has not been released yet.

It is in a Socket 478 form factor; the quickest way to tell the 0.13 micron Northwood Pentium 4 from the 0.18 micron Willamette Pentium 4 is 512KB of L2 cache on the Northwood against 256KB of L2 cache on the Willamette

I have heard that it will be out in the 3rd week of January.
Any idea if they will have 2gig or start with 2.2gig?
Don't you folks think it is worth waiting for?
hopefully the prices may not be high as it costs less and memory price is dropping also.
May be there won't be any good deals after x-mas
or there may, because after x-mas the sales may not be as high.

The initial speed should be about 2.2GHz.

Most of us who would like to purchase Pentium 4s are probably waiting for the Northwood processor.

Intel always brings processors in at a fixed top-end introduction price of $600+, but is expected to reduce it substantially at the end of January.

Memory prices have recently jumped. I don't know if they will come down again.
