I buildmy system back in october of 2006 and I have been wondering what board do I have so I would know what is the best processor that I could upgrade to. The only hint that I got is when I take a look inside, it say GA-965P-DS3 D3306.

If GA-965P-DS3 is printed on the board then that's what you have. The GA-965P-DS3 however came out in 3 revs, 1.0, 2.0 & 3.3. Typically GB prints the board's rev on the corner of the PCB that's closer to the PCI slots.

There's also a rev 1.3 that came out around the time of the 3.3 in order to confuse people. Its design and components share similarities with both the 1.0 and 3.3 boards. Differences include number of fan headers, onboard audio chipset, and supported FSB speeds.
