How to tell when to enable AF and let the application decide?

In many games there is nothing mentioned about anistropic filtering, and so I just turn it on on my display panel in widnwos.

But, i've heard that for some games, forcing AF will make u lose many gfx effects. Is this true? How do u know when to turn it on manually and whern to turn it off?

AF does not make you lose effects, it simply makes the image clearer. Turning it on would depend on personal preference, such as whether you want a higher frame rate or better iq.

Is this true?

No. AF always enhances the image quality.

The best policy is to just leave it enabled all of the time at 16x performance in the control panel.
