I am working on a collection of letters and one file says the font is cyrillic times but I have tried to locate the font doing web searches. Is there any way to tell the exact font file being called for the document?

Thanks for any help.

Uh, isn't it Cyrillic Times? Are you asking for a way to get the word document to download the correct file for you or something?

No, what I want is the exact file name that the file is calling (ie. ****.ttf) What is the *** part of the name. I know it is cyrillic times but I have gotten ttf that are cyrillic times and they are not showing up.

Open the word file ina text editor and search for ".ttf". If you don't find it, then apparently Word files don't store that information. Personally, I doubt the file name will be in the file anywhere.

I'm pretty sure that word files, like most other types of files, specift fonts by the actual font name, and not the name of the file the font is stored in. I don't think you're going to do any better than "Cyrillic Times".
