basically i have looked for info as well and have come up with "you have to look at the cpu string reported in diag proggies" which is kind of hard when you are in the store and looking at the cpus - i think there is a difference in the batch/model numbers actaully on the chip but i would say anything above 2600 will be rev b.

also i think 2400s and even some 2200s are thoroghbred B's. dont they run a little cooler? i think they probably OC better too.
