How to tell T-bred rev.A and rev.B apart?

Hello!

I just bought an XP1700 T-bred and I wonder if it is possible to determine if it is a rev.A or rev.B core?

read the numbers off the core and print them here

or you can just use wcpuid and look for a stepping of 1 for the T-bred b
as in 681 and not 680

Look at the label on the side of the die...like in this picture.

See all the nomenclature? Look at the bottom row, extreme left. It says AIHUB. This is a B-Step T-Bred. If it said AIHUA that would be an A-step.

AIUGA

This means I've got a revision A, correct?

AIUGA 0248VPEW

(I guess 0248 stands for manufacturing week 48 year 2002, but the rest...)

You're correct about the 0248 thing. The code tells you everything about your processor. This is an excellent article. I learned a lot from this.
