How to tell if it is USB 1.1 or version 2.0?

I checked the specs on some sites before I bought the laptop and they said the USB ports were 2.0 but it
seems that I'm not getting a 2.0 speed. Is there a way to find out for sure? I'm not very good with hardware... The laptop is an HP Pavilion ze5607wm.

right click on My Computer--->properties--->Hardware--->Device Manager

Listing is USB controllers

If it doesn't explicitly say USB 2.0 then get the controller name (Blah blah/Usb controller)

Another option is to look up your model on HP's site

Another option is a visual check of the usb ports. Looking for a '+' near the usb sign
