I just bought a new Maxtor UDMA/100 hard drive, and I was just wondering how I can make sure the drive is running at the UDMA/100 spec. When the computer boots, it shows the drive as Mode 5, which would denote that it's a UDMA/100 drive, but I was under the impression that in order to enable DMA, you had to select it in the deivce manager settings. In any case, I don't have an option to enable DMA under the device manager for this drive. Just wondering if this is normal, or if I did something wrong.
