How to tell if Asus P4B533 is ATA133?

Does anyone know how I can tell, or prove the Asus P4B533 I have is ATA133? These jerks I've have been screwing with for 3 weeks now (SRsystems.com) was supposed to send me the ATA133 model (they said they WERE), but I don't think they did. It has USB 2.0, and 6ch audio, but I cannot see where it's ATA133. PCB Rev. is 1.04, BIOS is 1008.
Thanks.

Yeah I know, but they DO make an ATA133 version. They are also listed at pricewatch (where I ordered mine from SRsystems, they had a listing there). Right now, Mark One Computers has them listed.

No, these are the NON E versions I'm speaking of. That's what I bought, and I was told it WAS INDEED ATA133, and Mark One has the NON E listed at pricewatch right now with ATA133, however I do not see it at their site. 🙂

I sort of went over this in that other thread, but i'll give you more details here. If you spot a Raid controller in your MB then you probably have ATA133. If you have a ICH4 soutbridge, and no Raid controller, then you probably do not have ATA133. I do not believe ASUS makes the P4B533 with ATA133. Dude, just get the P4S533 or the P4B533-E if you want ATA133 so much. I recommend the P4S533 over the P4B533-E. Good night.

There is no way you will get ATA133 without a seperate RAID/ATA controller. The ICH4 Southbridge, as someone here already said, only supports up to ATA100. Intel DOES NOT have a ATA133 capable Southbridge out yet AFAIK. 🙂

Mark One says the P4B533(no suffix) is ATA133. But Asus says it isn't. I personally would go with what Asus says.

edit: Maybe you can squeeze 'em for a no-charge upgrade to "E"?😉

Yep, and SRsystems said it as well. I emailed Asus about this so what ever they say I'll tend to agree with since they should know (but who knows what year they will reply). If the definitive answer is "NO", then I'll just keep it. I'll be using an ATA133 RAID card anyway, but it still just would have been nice to have. Thanks guys. 🙂

I had considered the "E" version but at the time it was a good bit more, and I didn't want firewire or LAN, and I already had an ATA133 RAID card with a buffer. (Integrated RAID has no buffer from what I have found; I have a fairly high end Intel PRO/1000 [gigabit] LAN card; and USB 2.0 is faster and cheaper than firewire).......so that's why I decided on the NON E. I didn't want that on board stuff I wasn't going to use.
