How to tell difference between XP & XP Pro

I know dumb question! I did a clean & complete re-install of XP Pro on a Dell Dim. 8250. When it boots all I see is Windows XP. What does a start up screen look like on XP Pro??
It has been a while since I re-installed everything & now I don't remember What the Factory installed XP Pro looked like.
Is there a way to tell what version of XP is installed? Over at the Dell Support Groups, it appears the Dell has sent out some disks that say XP PRO that are really XP Home.

Yep. That works. 🙂

You can also simply right-click on My Computer, choose Properties, and on the General tab it should tell you. Mine does, anyway (I'm using W2K Pro).

Thanks guys, both ideas worked. It has XP Pro, what corn-fused me is the bootup screen with the flashing blue bars just says Windows XP.

Thanks for your quick answers!!

Yeah that was changed in SP2. Before that, it used to say Home or Professional on the boot screen, and Home had a green bar.

Well STaSH, than splains it!! I installed sp2 a few months ago, and I could have sworn the old boot up screen said XP Pro. Now it doesn't, good ole MicroSoft, confusing me again!!!
