How to take picture of a colored contact lens?

Does anyone have any information or links to how to properly take a picture of a colored contact lens?

Put it on a white piece of paper, make sure the surroundings are cleared (use white paper to make a "box" if possible). Then experiment with different lighting around the lens until you get the desired effect.

sounds like 996GT2 is talking about a lightbox (which is the tool you should use).
