How to take credit for a new word?

Sorry, "dofuss" is not a cool word. In fact, it's not even spelled right, you doofus.

Well, you can start out by declaring it on urbandictionary.com...

I will!

I did. The editors will now review the word and then I will post a link to it when it is approved. I will make a new thread and also have a link to this thread.

Write a letter to yourself stating the creation of the word on whatever date and mail it to yourself. oh yea, seal it with wax. Ive copyrighted many words, and each time i used this process.

You don't send just one.

You could send it to Stan Kelly-Bootle. He gave me credit in print for

Vampireware: a project capable of sucking the lifeblood out of anyone unfortunate enough to be assigned to it which never actually sees the light of day, but nonetheless refuses to die.

Some of the others I've come up with I've listed at http://www.trygve.com/glossary.html

Anyone else interested in becoming Trygve for a day? Much like Being John Malkovich, only no Cameron Diaz.

Or puppetry.

Convince yourself you are almighty and all-knowing by repetitive self talk. The voices will listen and make the appropriate calls.
