Remove the 4 feet to reveal screw heads.

Yep John's got it dead on.

And for the original versions at least, the two side buttons are NOT part of the chassis, so don't be surprised when trying to pull the top off there will be a hole on the side for the two buttons and a gap between the two main buttons where the wheel would be. It looks pretty funky with the top, just the little clickers, a wheel, and two still covered side buttons :p

Just curious, why are you trying to dismantle a mouse? There was someone on here a while ago that was going to install a small fan on his mouse for some reason, even though it generates no heat...is this a silly way of wasting spare time, or what? heh

Ok thanks for the replies guys. Didn't know about the hidden screws. I'm taking it apart to check out the inside and see if i can get the light changed. Just a project i guess.

From personal expierience that mouse is not the best one to change your LED on. The sides are tinted red so the color wont show through the way you want it. Also the back will still be red because its a totally seperate LED. I would go with a Logitech mouseman optical if you wanted to change the LED. I used 2 blue ones on mine and it works great. Wouldnt use anything but red and blue though otherwise you dont get enough contrast.
