how to take apart external enclosure

can anyone post instructions on how to take a apart an external enclosure?

i bought an external dvd burner a few years ago...but its basically the drive in an enclosure..looks a lot like this one

i want to switch the dvd drive for a hard drive instead

it came assembled already so i have no idea how to take it apart..i got the sides and the top off but i dont see how to get the drive out? thanks

The part to the right is the top cover. At the far end side wall you can see to small pieces sticking inward they probably keep the cover from sliding out. Pull them carefully outward and you might be able to slide back the top cover.

The plastic strips on each side can be removed by GENTLY prying each one loose in the back. Use a medium size flat head screwdriver. Once loose in the back the side panels can be slid forward (~1/8 inch) and off. The top will then be free to open.

Now this is assuming that yours is the same as the one you've shown in the link.
