How to synchronize files between 2000 and XP Pro?

Ok here is the deal, I want to sync certain folders in a data partition on my laptop with the same certain folders on my main rig. How do I go about doing this?

I know I can manually do this. Why is two fold, one to back up the Laptop/Data, two to make transfering files, etc. over with out having to cut and paste.

Any help? Both have all the needed protocols and can share over the network. I can transfer files etc. When I try to use the synchronization setup it only allows my IE home page.

Have you tried a batch file to run at night to do this for you? That what I do here.

No I haven't, I am not very familure with running batches.
