I remember I read a thread about it here in AnandTech. Can someone link the thread for me please? I am getting an Aopen nForce2 MB and I am running WinXP Por SP1.
Personally, I just compile a new kernel with the right drivers before switching the MB. When I boot with the new MB, I just choose the new kernel and I'm set... 😉
After reading anand's thread, rather than going though all that for a new motherboard, I just reinstalled the OS after saving all my mp3 and "fine art" collection 😉
"Swapping your board without so much as a reinstall" Here is a very simple way shown to swap out motherboard without re-installing XP. It has pictures of screens and is very is to follow.
