So I have ATI Tool and the Artifact option is good but it is only good if you kepp staring at the screen for the artifacts as the tool will mention an artifact than will go back to saying No Errors for xx.xx.xx which will also not change. I have been running it for the past hour but was away from the screen and it says No errors but it could also mean that maybe an artifact showed up and than it went away. Also temps top out at 65. Am I being too paranoid here?

ATITool creates a log file. I think it puts any artifact detection in it as well as any clock rate modification. You can open the log file by clicking on setup I believe and then navigating to the right page. I don't have it running now. But, if you cannot find it, i will look for it when I get home.

Run 3DMark06 loops all night.

If it is still running the next morning, you are good to go.

by looking at the topic you said you flashed 7900GTO to 7900GTX? I don't think ATITool to work with 7900 version only any Radeon cards.

So, what should my temperature be if i'm running a x1900xtx?

I installed ATITool .25 beta, and these are the temperatures/other things:

56
8.2A
27%
67
55

While scanning for artifacts, it goes up to..

59
27.3
36%
83
56

... and that's where i stopped because those are pretty high temperatures :p Should these temperatures be lower?

No.

Those temps are quite normal for X1900XT/Xs
I'd suggest getting ATiTool & manually setting fan speed if you want lower temps.

Any tips on how to maximize the card? I'm unfamiliar with OCing and settings and stuff, and don't want to harm anything.
