i need to be able to stream my music collection of mp3 so i can access it from school
its illegal to download and youtube and sites with music are blocked
and software like showcast works only if someone else is on the other end
i need to be able to control the music i want to play
not setting up a a server though
 
Why not look into accessing your home system and playing the music there and hearing it where you are?

Check out "Go To My PC" on Google.
 
Orb. Though I'm not exactly sure how you intend stream anything without your computer acting as a server in some respects.
