I'm currently using itunes on my laptop and have tons of songs on it, and my computer is connected to my Z-5500 speakers, my roomate who's on my network also has a set of Z-5500's in his room.

What im trying to do is find a way to get itunes to broadcast whatever audio it is currently outputting over the network so that I can have the other computer be playing the exact same thing im playing on my laptop. This way when we have a party we can have both sets of speakers playing the same thing.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.

I just looked at shoutcast, and its like it hasnt been updated in years, and only works with winamp 2.0! And since winamp has no library functions it kinda makes it hard to make playlists and even change songs or search for them.

Isnt there some type of program thats standalone that will capture whatever audio my computer is outputing and let me stream it somewhere.

can i use radmin to have the other computer connect to my computer and listen to audio from it?

also, whats the best way to make an internet radio station.

Probably, but here's a better solution. Windows Media Encoder 9. Set audio bitrate to like 10Mbps or use WMA9 Professional Lossless.

Put itunes on the desktop computers. Then they have access to the library on the laptop. Or are you trying to get both set of speakers to play the same song at the same time?

edit: Sorry. I reread the first post and realize that you *do* want to play out of all speakers at the same time. Must brush up on reading skills.

Winamp 5 has media library with smart playlists. I believe 2 plugins run on 5, but I could be wrong.
