A user at work has a Logitech MX400 with SetPoint 6.67 installed (the latest). He wants to map a button on his mouse to activate the colour invert feature when the Windows Magnifier is open. I have done this on my setup also but I use a Logitech gaming mouse which uses Logitech Gaming Software instead of SetPoint and I never ran into this problem.
When Magnifier is open to invert colours you press Ctrl+Alt+I. The problem is when trying to add this as a keystroke assignment in SetPoint all that comes up is í. After much faff, it appears that Ctrl+Alt+I is a Windows shortcut for the letter I with an accent on the top. When Magnifier is open, it takes priority and catches the shortcut instead.
How on earth can I disable Windows typing í? I've done loads of Googling and most people point you towards region and language and ensuring you have the correct keyboard setup and disabling keyboard switching using multiple keys. I have done all this and still drawing a blank.
I have tried to trick SetPoint by various means but none have worked. It won't allow you to paste a shortcut into it either.
Any ideas?
