How to stop videos from following me down the page?

I have no idea what this is called, so I can't even search properly for it.

A video on a website is playing - don't really care about the video, start scrolling down the page and it goes down the page as I scroll. Stop scrolling, close the video. Extra unwanted crap.

Is there a setting/plugin/anything that will stop this?

Thank you in advance for your collective genius :)

I have adblocker plus and ublock origin - I haven't seen any setting or whatever to kill those. Suggestions?

Interesting. I hadn't seen a video that moves like that before, but I almost never go to CBS online. On other pages with videos I just hit the mute button on the top of the tab and move on with the tab. Not sure if you can block the video entirely.

I tried this ad-on but couldn't get it to do anything. Admittedly I only gave it a few seconds, so it may be something you want to play with:
