Somebody told me a console command that would stop the horrendous tearing i was getting in Elite Force and other q3 based games. Unfortunately i lost it. Can anybody tell me what it is, along with other quake 3 commands??

I don't know the command you're referring too but I'm pretty sure that it exists. But isn't there an in game menu option to sync on vertical refresh?

you need to turn V-Synch off...right-click on your desktop, properties, etc, etc....the default setting is "always on by default", change that to always off, or never..

Then you have the issue of the refresh rate problem if you are using XP or W2k...fix that with "refresh lock" or "Riva Tuner"...refresh lock is much easier to use...

Not off, on.
