I have been getting 10-15 spamming email everday in my hotmail account.. I got so fed up with it. I tried to blocked them, I tried unsubscribe them, but they just keep coming and coming.

I have heard some people mentioned of tracking down the spammer's IP and write/contract their serivce administrator helps alot. I personally would like to see the spamming mails disappear, but I'd really like to take some action and get those who are sending those mails the right treatment. Please give me some advice of how and what is a good and efficient way of approching those service administrator regards the spamming matters.

I block about 30 of them, so now I only have a stray one now and a gain. I haven't have a need to uses Inbox Protector or Filters just yet.

You could try using InBox Protector to only except any of your own specified addresses. Or, uses filters to block email that contain unwanted words and paterns that is common in the address or message body.

Rule number one is to never reply to spam in any way. Once you reply they know it is a valid email and it is added to a list and sold to other spammers.

You could also set up another hotmail account just for spam and never check it. At least that's what I've done.

Why would you set up another account for just spam?? This would in no way alleviate the problem, just sets you back 5 minutes of time of setting up the other account. The only way to solve this is to create another hotmail account, and when it asks you to receive free offers or anything, DON'T check the boxes. This will solve it. I created a hotmail account, and left a couple of the boxes checked, just simple little things like hotmail updates and the such, but still got lots of spam. Then, created another one, and made damn sure all boxes were unchecked, and I never get any spam to my new hotmail account.

blurredvision,

I never check my hotmail spam account. If I don't check it, it doesn't bother me.

Hmmm...sounds a lot like what I previously said.
