How to stop motherboard shorting

I have a 4G4A and put into an Antec SX635 case but all i get is a constant beep and no display.
So after trying different RAM I took board out and it booted up okay.

Tried putting back in but it just keeps shorting.
I am using the gold screw into the case and then normal screws into that, which worked okay with other PC i built but not this.

What i was wondering was do you guys put anything underneath the board protecting it from the case??

Make sure you are only using the standoffs where there are holes. If that still doesn't work, get some nylon or paper washers to use between the mobo and the standoffs.

Is it okay to use the foam pad that comes with the board for packaging??

It covers the whole bottom of the board

its not going to get hot and burn is it??
