how to STOP floppy drive from checking itself every few minutes??

Under Win2K, the floppy checkes itself every couple minutes, it sounds very annoying. Any way to disable it?

Disable all cases of find fast, usally a byproduct of office.

it worked when I disabled the Office Short Cut Bar, but I want the Bar, is there any way to have the bar but without this ANNOYING checking thinging?
