Oooh a Novell question. I think it is "startx", but it starts automagically from the autoexec.ncf script unless someone edited it. But why bother using the clunky server gui? Use nwadmn32 or console1. Or DOS for that matter. Creating a folder from a DOS box is fine, since it will inherit all the file/dir permissions from the parent folder. But nwadmin is really the way to go. Do you have the necessary rights to install a program? Does your company run NAL or ZenWorks? If so you need to use the utility that records the install so you can distribute the app.
Since you say you don't know anything about Novell, why are you tasked with installing this program? Don't you have an admin that can help you out?
