i kegged up a batch of beer, put the keg under pressure to initiate carbonation and discovered a great way to spill a couple of gallons of brew.

i have analyzed the problem and determined that prior exposure to heat (i ran the assembly through the dishwasher) caused the vinyl tubing to expand slightly, reducing the amount of force needed to blow the thingiemagig off the doowhacky.

diagram for your edification

wow, I don't think I've ever read anything with more technical terms than that...I'm impressed.

thats one thing thats kind of weird... all of my fauces have clamps except that one....i didn't notice this when I took it apart or put it back together.
what style of beer is it?

a blonde. the beer is rather lacking IMO so I suppose I am not really that upset about seeing some of it go away. At best, its a lawn mowing beer, if that makes any sense.

At that velocity I don't think it would just spill out like it does in the diagram. :p
