How to speed up kazaa?

Ive got DSL and I DL nowhere near fast enough on kazaa. Now I know users are limiting available bandwidth, but are there any tweaks or tips to get stuff faster?

It's not a Kazaa issue. It's just that most people on DSL and Cable have their outbound traffic capped at 128 or 256Kbps. That's as fast as you are going to be able to suck and that's assuming they don't have other people sucking on them at the same time as well.

i used to get ~90-100KB/sec on transfers.. that's with files that have a lot of hosts to download from.. it's no where as fast as Napster (where you'd get full bandwidth usage), then again, you could only download mp3's off of napster..

well other then only get files with mutiple sources, maybe you should also try newsgroups, edonkey2000, winmx or irc.

i get fairly fast downloads with direct connect, but FTP is always the fastest route.
