I did a speech in college about the importance of humor in speeches. it went over pretty well.

alternatively, just pick something from your major and lecture on it.

In college I did a speech/demonstration on how to restring a guitar. Some ones other people did were how to clean a paintball gun, how to port/polish a cylinder head, how to build a PC, how to make garlic bread  lol.

Good.

That is truly the ebst choice. The teachers eat it up, and as long as you put a little effort into it, it remains quite simple and quick.

agreed, my english teacher loved it. it wasn't very long, maybe a page and a half but it wasn't supposed to be long. a little bit of humor while still making a point and you're golden

I've decided to do how to homebrew instead as of now... Gonna see if I can cut it up enough to get it to 3-5 minutes, plus its not like people will be taking notes to do this so I guess I could leave out some stuff...

Thanks for the suggestions though...
