How to specify lenght of line in Librecad?

I'm trying to get off of depending on windows for day to day stuff so one thing I want to do is switch from Autocad to LibreCAD. In AutoCAD when making a line, I can just immediately type a number and it makes the line that lenght. In Librecad that does not seem to be the case. You need to specify a point or manually click where you want it. This does not work very well for speed drafting where you just want to whip something up in a bang real quick by just clicking and typing dimensions.

Is there a way to perhaps make Librecad get this behaviour? I tried to register on their forum but the activation link is invalid so hoping someone here happens to have experience with it. Can't seem to find much info when googling. If this is not actually a feature it seems like it is a huge oversight.
