How to silence a hard drive?? (IBM GXP)

I got a 45GB IBM GXP 7200rpm Hard Drive and it makes more noise then my 5400rpm drive. Is there any ways to make that thing more silent? I heard that there was a patch released by IBM that made is quiet but i cannot find it anywhere.

Also is there a cheaper solution then quietpc.com's HD enclosure?

I'm tight on cash and would love to make something "homemade" using foam or such materials, but I'm not so sure how safe that is.

All inputs would be appreciated.

you can make a box to go in a 5.25 bay and just put foam on all sides...thats all the quietpc thing is...

only thing to be careful of is the temps...find something that you can stick in there and try it so you can check the hdd temp after 15mins of spinning
