Ported, sealed, horn, labyrinth? What sort of cabinets are you building? Are you using modeling software? What drivers? Just curious. >>
They will be sealed and I don't plan on using horns... I've got some 300w 80oz Pyramid 12" subs coming. I am most likely going to be using Radio$hack mids and tweets. I current have RS speakers on a cab (see below) that I got for $10 at a yard sale, and I am pretty happy with how they sound. I also am going to be getting the R$ 3 way crossover. I realize RS parts aren't the greatest, but for now, they'll work fine for my needs. My stereo reciever is a fairly low power POS that I got from a pawn shop, but it works. I'll eventually replace it when I find some extra money. I am kinda going the cheap route here because money is limited (poor college student

), and it doesn't take a whole lot of power to sound good in a dorm room. hehe those dorm rooms act as a cab themselves! I am planning on building the cabs out of 3/4" particle board (the really high density stuff). I haven't decided on the dimensions yet. Currently I have 1 cab very similar to what I want to build, so I am planning to more or less use that design. The main difference that I'm going to make is to block off the sub from the mids and tweets so that the sub will effectively be in it's own box.
