How to share files in win2k?? keep getting weird password requests on other comp

i enabled file sharing, but when i try to access from a win98 comp it bugs me for a password. i never entered any passwords in win2k:( anyone know whats going on?

Enable you Guest user account on the 2K machine. Or else add a user on the 2k box with the same username/password as on the 98 box.

fir increased security do the last option (making a user with allowances etc for every computer in your lan)

(for instance my dad is allowed to access all the files but my sister and brother (who are on the same lan) have limited access, also I gave my dad 500 Mb data room on my harddisk and my bro and sis each 100 so i'm kind of unning as a server (they run all ME)

Do not enable the guest account as it's a huge security risk. It's one of the worst mistakes a beginning user can make.
