The client for ICS can be anything. Mac, linux, Win 3.11 doesn't matter as long as it uses TCP/IP, you can set it up to get its info from ICS's built in DHCP, or you can configure it manually, just make sure you do it with the correct IP. When you enable ICS, you will enable it on the external NIC and point it towards the internal NIC, it will automatically change your internal NICs IP address to something like 192.168.0.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0, so if you manually configure your IP on your 95 box, keep that in mind, but I would recommend setting the 95 box to automatically obtain an IP and let the ICS box configure it for you.
