Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could get some help. I can't seem to get my internet sharing up. I have tried the options in w2k and tried winroute4.1 lite. Neither of them work with my setup.

The computers are sut up like this
comp1- ip 192.168.1.2
comp2 - ip 192.168.1.3
the gateways are 255.255.255.0

What can I use

THanks

Ren111 OK here goes!

Comp1 (one with modem)
Under properties for dial up connection (your ISP)

Sharing Enable ICS (internet connection sharing), on demand dialing
Networking Enable TCP/IP leave Property settings default unless ISP req DNS setting.
Client for Microsoft Networks.

Under properties LAN enable TCP/IP

Set IP to 192.168.0.1
Set subsetmask to 255.255.255.0
Leave default gateway blank

Comp2 Under properties for LAN

Enable Client for Microsoft Networks
Enable File and Printer sharing for MS Networks
Enable TCP/IP

Under TCP/IP Properties
General Tab set obtain IP auto and Obtain DNS auto
Advanced tab set Default gateway to 192.168.0.1 don't change the other settings just leave them as default settings.

Controle pannel Internet Options
Connections Local Area Network settings click LAN settings tab
Check auto detect settings.

That should do it I am running a home network with 4 computers connected on the lan and all sharing the modem on my main Win2kP machine, 1 win2k, 1 win98, 1 win95. Also you may want to enable NetBEUI helps with finding comps on network.

Hope this gets it working for you!:)

Feel free to e-mail me with any other questions.
