I've installed a lone hard drive before, when I was building my own system and my friends system, but this is the first time I want to have two hard drives. I just bought a Western Digital 60gb ATA/100 HD, and am currently running on a Maxtor 13gb AT/33. My mother board is an Asus A7V. My question is, how do I set the jumpers on both HDs, and how do I connect the the IDE cables on the motherboard? I have a port for Primary ATA100, and a port for secondary ATA 100. Then I have the primary IDE port, and Secondary IDE port. Currently, my Maxtor is in the primary IDE port, with my DVD drive connected to the secondary IDE port. Do I just connect the 60gig to the ATA/100 primary, and then leave the 13gig where it is, just changing it to a slave drive? If I get any terms misplaced or mixed up, please bear with me, im trying ;)
Thanks.

this is pretty easy to do.

#1 Keep the 13 gig hard drive like it is...as far as jumpers go.

#2 Change the new hard drive to the SLAVE jumper.

#3 Plug the cable into the 13gb drive like it is now....then plug the other drive into the second one.

in other words...the master should be on top of the slave as far as the drives go.

The Bios should now recognize the drives... but...if you want to use them...you'll have to partition and format the drive.
