I have an Asrock P67 Extreme4 and a couple drives I want to mirror. I've never done this before but it's very easy using Windows and I haven't been able to do it with the BIOS.

If I set the bios to RAID and I setup the mirror using CTRL-I and the setup utility it tries to boot from the Raid drives rather than my OS drive and it errors. I can't change the drive boot order in the bios apparently. If I try to manually boot off the OS drive I get an error.

So I'm kinda at a loss. I printed out the instructions and they're terrible. What am I doing wrong?

I have 6 drives in the system if that helps

74GB raptor boot drive
320 GB storage
640 GB storage
1 TB storage
2 TB x 2 that I want to mirror

First, you need to setup onboard controller in bios, then you need to reboot, setup the raid as Mirror and reboot, then you can switch the boot order.

I can't get this thing to create a mirror with a fresh install of windows either. I went this route hoping it would be easier but no dice. Can someone maybe give me a step by step outline of what to do? I downloaded the newest raid drivers.

1. Changed the bios to [RAID]
2. Rebooted, setup the Mirror with the ctrl-I setup thing.
3. Rebooted, checked the boot order in the bios and made sure the mirror was not the boot drive but my OS drive was
4. Rebooted, booted off the windows CD
5. Installed, custom install, loaded the newest drivers, tried both formating and not formatting the 2GB "drive" that shows up there, installed windows on my boot drive. All is well but once the first restart happens it sticks at a black screen with a blinking _
