
File sharing enables you to use the functionality of sharing the media/contents/files/graphics/documents with the other user/system. MAC OS X also has such functionality that allows you to transfer your content with such simple options available in the system that needs to be setup prior to using it.
Step 1
Click on the ‘Apple’ Button
Simply click on the top left corner apple icon displayed on your system, ‘Drag’ your mouse to the ‘System Preferences’ and select the same.

Step 2
Click on ‘Sharing Tab’
Post opening the ‘System Preferences’, ‘Select’ the ‘Sharing’ option available on the ‘Mac OS X’.

Step 3
Select File Sharing
Select the ‘File sharing’ option available in the left pane of the window by using the checkbox.

Step 4
Select the Shared Folders, Users, Privileges.
Select the ‘Shared Folder’ next to the File sharing window, enables you to choose the file to be shared.
Users tab enables to select the users.
Privileges gives rights to the Shared folders and users for reading & writing the files.

Step 5
'Add Folder' or 'New User'
We can add on the new ‘Folder’ and ‘Users’ using the ‘+’Icon beneath the Shared Folder and Users. Select the folder you wish to share from the window pane and click on ‘Add’ button.

Step 6
Select 'Added User' and 'Privilege'
Now select the corresponding user you want to share the folder with and set the rights using the 'Privileges' option.

Step 7
Select ‘Options’
The ‘Options’ allows the user to set the access rights for the given folders and by selecting the given user and entering the ‘Password’ you can login using this new user.

Step 8
Select ‘Done’
Post completing the rest actions, select done button and your system is setup with File sharing option.
