how to setup ftp site?

I want to setup a ftp site, but don't know exactly what I should do. Any advice? Good programs to use?

If you want a really easy to use FTP server, do a search on Serv-U. You pretty much install it, and add login accounts. Give people your IP and all they have to do is login with their FTP client.
