how to setup a web server?

Hey is just got a sdsl line and i want to know if now to set up a dns server in win2k or unix. and do i need a dns server anyway?
 
for win2k, you go to administrative tools...internet services manager.

if you have the web server already installed, you can just start/stop, or edit it right in there.

if it's not installed, you have to add it.

edit: oh yeah, and if you get it up and running, you basically edit a directory where the web server is on your hard drive, and add your html files..your "web address" is your IP address.
