How to setup a DDNS in server ?

Hello, everyone, I am new here. It's nice to meet you guys. First of all, let me introduce myself a bit. I am a security technology fresh graduated student from university and now working as a system engineer in a small company. I was dealing with the networking stuff in my company past few days and I face so many problems. I did a lot online researches but I guess the information is limited and there are different version. I think what I ask will be kind of stupid and easy to you guys, but I hope you guys can provide me some guide here, please ~ I really want to learn something which I know I should learn from zero. PS: I am kind of slow learner, so don't blame me.:'(

In my company, we have a server running which has one firewall (windows server 2003 r2 Enterprise), one domain controller(DC - Windows Server 2008 Standard) and one file server. Our domain is hosted by namecheap.

Question 1: Why do we need to have one machine running firewall in between of Internet and the server ? What is the function and what it can actually do ?

I was asked to setup a dynamic DNS provided by namecheap so that our staff can retrieve some local file from internet. I went through tons of tutorials on Youtube and papers. I know that after create a sub-domain, we need to install a client software to update the DNS dynamically, that's what I did. When it updated the IP or DNS to namecheap, it's the server IP from what I know. When I connect my PC with the Internet router, I type in the DDNS address, therefore it redirect me to the main router login page. When I connect to the second router(2nd router is connected to 1st router), i can access the 1st router by using the private address but not the DDNS address, when I use the DDNS address, it brought me to connection timed out.

Question 2 : Why is this happen ? Is it because of wrong DDNS configuration so when I connect to 2nd router, I can't use the DDNS sub-domain to connect the first router login page? Why the DNS will redirect to the router login page but not the server ?

Question 3 : What should I do so that my colleges can retrieve local file from outside via Internet ? Apply DDNS in the DC or firewall ?

In addition, we have another router connected behind the firewall, the 3rd router. When I connected to 2nd router(before firewall), I can access 1st router(before firewall) admin page by 192.168.1.1 but when I connect to 3rd router (after firewall), I can use the private address of 1st and 2nd router to connect to the admin page of them.

Question 4: Is it because the firewall blocks the traffic out already ? If yes, how does it works ? Packet filtering or port filtering ?

I think that's all I want to learn atm, forgive me that I am a slow learner.

Thank you to everyone for spending precious time to read my question. I hope you guys might provide some helps even just 1 answer, I appreciate it a lots.

Thanks in advance.
