How to set up wifi printer if not near the cable modem?

Summary: I want printer, router, and laptop all connected by wifi.
Is this possible? If so, what do I need to buy?

I have a Brother 2270-DW laser printer.
I think it is Wifi enabled.
I keep it downstairs.

My cable modem and wifi router is upstairs.

To print from my laptop, I have to walk over and connect the printer to my laptop with an ethernet cable.

Is there some way I can connect the printer to the router via Wifi (and not ethernet cable)? That way, once the printer is on the network, I can print from the laptop
