Hi guys

I was wondering how to set up RDC between 2 computers in my own home? I use U-verse and my desktop is wired to the router while the computer that I want to use to access my desktop (and the other way around) is a laptop connected by wifi. I searched around on google and I had no luck.

I know, from the list of computers connected on the router, the IP of my desktop and laptop. When I used RDC and typed in the IP it asks me for login and password. Neither computer had a password or login set when I install windows on them.

Please help

thx

ofc it's not very secure but if you want no password for RDC then try:

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy
Local Policies > Security Options

Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only
(change this setting from Enabled to Disabled)

By default - you cannot log in via RDC to a machine with no password set.

Enable a password on an account in control panel. Then in system properties, ensure RDC is set to allow connections TO this computer. Click the select users button and choose the passworded account.
