How to set up Panther XL Controller for Steam games?

I've got a Panther XL controller, modified to connect with USBs to my PC. I'd like to use it in some Steam games (specifically Asphalt Legends Unite), but I can't find a way to get it to work in games that don't have in game control rebinding options. I tried using Steam Input as well, but since it recognizes the Panther as a keyboard device and not an actual controller I'm not sure that'll work. Also kinda wondering what specific keyboard key each button on the Panther actually binds too, clearly not all the keys I'd like for the games I want to play, I don't know if anyone is aware of a list of the binds. I doubt there is one but I figured I may as well ask.
