Yes first timer on the duel monitor (2005fpw) set up i run a INTEL 2.4ghz, 1gb, 9800pro and i was wondering do I just need to buy another DVI graphics card to support the other monitor or what. And what programs I may need to set this up if this has been addressed already i am sorry. Link would be great.

If I'm correct, 9800pro has 1 DVI and 1 VGA. So you just need 1 VGA-to-DVI adapter for it. You shouldn't need any special software either. ATI's software/driver should support them naturally.

EDIT: Does the 2005fpw have a VGA input as well as DVI? If so, you don't need any adapters.

It does have it, but VGA looks like crap on it. Just pick up another cheap video card w/ DVI

Actually, IMO, the 2005FPW handles VGA in very well.

Oh, and to the OP:

"duel" is when two people shoot each other with pistols at 20 paces.

The word you want is "dual" -- for when you have two of something.

Just trying to enlighten. :)

I have this setup with a 7800GTX and the older LCD looks dimmer than the other one I recently purchased 2 weeks ago. The older was manufactured in March 05 and this new one was manufactured in June 05. Is this a revision difference or a problem with the video card?

Sorry didn't mean to threadjack. Nvidia drivers come with a dual monitor setup wizard btw.

Just FYI, NO motherboard has 2 AGP slots. As for the Radeon 7K.. adequate card for 2D, completely worthless for 3D.. that said, should at least provide the output you need.

This is a somewhat related question

is there a dual-dvi card out now?
can these fpw monitors be driven in portrait mode (i.e. do they swivel and
if so, can you keep dual portrait monitors?)

tnx
