How to set up Arch after fresh install.

Hello people of the internet. So I am really interested in Arch. I like their philosophy and want to try it out. I was able to install it without a problem. But now when I boot, and try to say, install something, I get issues. I think it isn't connected to the internet even though it's a wired connection. Can someone help me fix this issue and guide me to install a good DE that will keep my pc quick? I really hate the BLOATED distros of this age, and I'm looking to bring back life to my pc.

There's a massive Arch wiki and forum - they're a little snobish I found; If you go there without having first searched the wiki they will eat you alive, so do your homework....but that's the place to go for Arch help.

I searched up my error code but I couldn't find any solution. I have asked here previously and got great responses which is why I chose to all you guys. But I'll look more in depth whenever I have free time.

I think it isn't connected to the internet even though it's a wired connection.

Have you tried a ping to test it? This works for me:

ping -w 5 www.google.com

I prefer light OSes as well. How old is your machine, XP (2001-2006) era?

How did you configured the Network? If you used ArchISO in either CD or bootable USB Flash Drive forms, it comes broadly preconfigured, so you usually have a working Internet connection. After you install and boot from the HD, it does NOT work by default unless you did so at the arch-chroot stage. And is easy to screw it up if you use two different tools, like for example, using dhcpcp, then trying to set up it using netctl.

Pinging did not work

Sooo I boot up the live iso again and use those tools you mentioned to configure it?
